An Organic Modern Living Room-Inspiration

What inspires me the most about interior design is this idea of fully immersing yourself in a space and simply enjoying it. Being home is so much more to me than four walls to serve as a shelter. It’s an experience in itself. Your living room should be the one space you can escape the world around you and relish in the simple pleasures of life.

When designing a home or a room, starting with choosing the feeling you want to feel when sitting in the room is a great place to start. Adding organic textures and neutral and earthy tones bring the outside in and grounds the space beautifully.

Touch of Drama and Dark Tones blended with Neutrals and Blush create a Cozy yet Glamorous Space

These Organic Modern Living Rooms blend on-trend rust, terracotta and maroon colors, cozy seating and a variety of wood tones, while keeping with a timeless oriental rug layered over an easy jute rug to create depth and texture. Shop the gallery below to create a similar space as this gorgeous, earthy, organic modern living room with budget-friendly to high end options. To recreate this gorgeous space, follow the steps:

Step 1. Layer your rugs. A slightly larger seagrass or jute rug beneath a rust-colored oriental area rug blends traditional style with more organic textures.

Step 2. Couch size and fabric on point. Two couches facing one another. Make one more pillowy and one more structured. Go with luxurious fabrics like velvet and linen fabrics to create depth.

Step 3. Tons of wooden furniture. Large creamy white chairs with wooden frames or a big rectangular wooden coffee table ground the space and bring the outside in.

Step 4. Neutral large artwork in wooden or gold frames.

Step 5. Add depth and interest with lighting. Rattan or bamboo light fixture with a black metal floor lamp blends two completely different styles perfectly to obtain structure and creativity at the same time.

Step 6. Decorate heavily with with simple rustic pottery vases, while adding small elements of shine in lighting or decor.

Step 7. White walls and decor allow the earth tones to stand out while not overwhelming the space.
