Living Room Light Fixtures Interior Designers Love

Lighting is probably one of the most important features of a design. Any well-designed space has someone behind it who thought through creating a feeling through the use of light fixtures and lighting design. It’s not easy, if you’ve tried it, to pair light fixtures in a home together so they flow but also don’t become too matchy. Lighting, also, for some designers is a statement piece in itself. From the simplest to the most dramatic, light fixtures are key to creating a room you love.

I’ve pulled together inspiration from some of my favorite designers and focused on their lighting choices for the living rooms they design. Living room light fixtures set a tone for the rest of the house. They also often have to flow with foyer and kitchen design to create a cohesive design. Take note of the metals, size, scale and shape of each fixture to decide if it may be right for your design and space.

Here are 7 light fixtures interior designers in 2021 are using now in their designs.

  1. Large Ring Chandelier

This light fixture isn’t glamorous, but it’s used by designers again and again. Often used in living rooms with vaulted ceilings, by doubling up on the chandelier (in lieu of ceiling fans) the lighting it creates is bright and gorgeous and it adds a rustic or industrial tone to the space and brings your eyes up. 2. Triple Arm Chandelier

This large triple arm chandelier infuses style into any room it touches. It’s subtle and modern while fitting into traditional designs as well. An option to mix black and brass or keep it one tone and color, this simple light fixture is a favorite used by some of the best designers.

3. Antique Brass Round Chandelier with Off-White Light Shades

A classic brass light fixture if you lean more to the traditional type of style, this type of lighting will likely never go out of style. The light it exudes is more natural due to the lamp shades, and the brass tone adds statement to the room. Often used in dining spaces, this formal living room design by Jean Stoffer Designs incorporates this classic piece effortlessly.

4. Luxe Crystal Chandelier

This vibe has been used for decades and it does not go out of style. The chandeliers below are both crystal and capiz, but the look and tone are the same….luxe and glamour. This is a statement and even when the lights are off, the colors of the glass add an element of shine and texture to a room. Adding this piece to a room filled with organic decor, wood furniture and neutral, earthy colors brings it all together for a cohesive beautiful design.
